PURSUANT to the Auckland Transport Board Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

  • This order may be cited as the Auckland Transport Board Bylaws Order 1958.

  • The Auckland Transport Board is hereby authorised to make bylaws in respect of the following matters:

    • (a) Regulating the tender of money for, and the manner, times, and places in and at which and the conditions subject to which, tickets of any kind shall be purchased by, issued to, used by, retained by, and delivered up by passengers in or upon a vehicle of the Board, and prohibiting the carriage of passengers and goods beyond the distance for which a fare has been paid:

    • (b) Regulating the receipt and storage, the booking and storage charges therefor, and the sale or disposal of money, goods, and other articles of any description left, lost, or found upon any property or vehicle of the Board, making it mandatory for all persons to deliver any such money, goods, and articles to the Board, and providing that the net proceeds of every such sale shall belong to the Board:

    • (c) Regulating the conduct and condition of persons using or entering or intending or attempting to use or enter upon any property or vehicle of the Board, and providing for the giving of information by any such person to any officer of the Board:

    • (d) Regulating or prohibiting the carriage of goods or animals upon a vehicle of the Board.
