  • Preamble

    WHEREAS by section 2 of the Cook Islands Amendment Act 1961 it is provided that Part 1 of that Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed for the commencement thereof by the Governor-General, by Proclamation, and different dates may be so appointed for the commencement of that Part in different islands of the Cook Islands:

    Now, therefore, pursuant to section 2 of the said Act, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as follows:
