PURSUANT to the Evidence Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title
  • This order may be cited as the Evidence (Photographic Copies) Order 1972.

2 Authorised persons
  • The harbour board and company specified in the Schedule to this order are hereby declared to be authorised persons for the purposes of the Evidence Act 1908.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order declares the Northland Harbour Board and WD & HO Wills (NZ) Limited to be authorised persons for the purposes of the Evidence Act 1908. The effect of the order is that section 5 of the Evidence Amendment Act 1952 will apply to that board and that company so that photographic copies of their records will be admissible in evidence.


Issued under the authority of the Regulations Act 1936.
