Agricultural Chemicals (2,4,5-T Specification) Notice 1973: revoked, on 1 July 2006, by section 152(4) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (1996 No 30).
This notice is administered in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Pursuant to the Agricultural Chemicals Regulations 19681, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.

(1) This notice may be cited as the Agricultural Chemicals (2,4,5-T Specification) Notice 1973.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1973.
In this notice, reference to—
TCDD shall include the substance 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin;
2,4,5-T shall include the parent substance, amine salt, or any ester of the substance;
ppm TCDD shall include parts of TCDD per million parts of the acid equivalent of 2,4,5-T.
No 2,4,5-T shall be packed by any proprietor for sale containing TCDD in excess of 0.01 ppm, but if a proprietor has imported or obtained any 2,4,5-T before the commencement of this notice he may pack the 2,4,5-T for sale with the written approval of the Agricultural Chemicals Board.
Regulation 3 was amended, as from 25 June 1982, by regulation 2 Agricultural Chemicals (2,4,5-T Specification) Notice 1973, Amendment No 1 (SR 1982/147) by substituting the expression “0.01 ppm” for the expression “0.1 ppm”.
To determine whether 2,4,5-T conforms to the specification required by this notice, the methods of testing shall conform to those for the time being accepted by the Agricultural Chemicals Board.
