Pursuant to the Penal Institutions Act 1954, the Minister of Justice hereby gives the following notice.
1 Title and commencement
2 Manawatu Youth Institution established [Revoked]
3 Certain land no longer a prison
(1) This notice may be cited as the Penal Institutions Notice (No 3) 1978.
(2) This notice shall take effect from 21 September 1978.
Clause 2: revoked,on 13 October 1986, by clause 3(a) of the Penal Institutions (Manawatu Youth Institution) Notice 1986 (SR 1986/301).
(1) The land described in Schedule 2, being formerly known as Horopito Prison, is hereby declared no longer to be a prison.
(2) The notice declaring the said land to be a prison, given on 17 April 1929 and published in the Gazette on 26 April 1929, at page 1044, is hereby revoked.
Schedule 1: revoked, on 13 October 1986, by clause 3(a) of the Penal Institutions (Manawatu Youth Institution) Notice 1986 (SR 1986/301).
All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing 1.9632 hectares, more or less, being part Section 2, Block XVI, Manganui Survey District, Waimarino County; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P W D 72840, deposited in the office of the Ministry of Works, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
