PURSUANT to the Vegetables Levy Act 1957, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title and commencement
  • (1) This order may be cited as the Vegetables Levy Extension Order 1979.

    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

2 Amendments to Schedule to Vegetables Levy Act
  • Schedule 1 to the Vegetables Levy Act 1957 is hereby amended by adding to the list of crop specified the following 2 items:

    edible dried beans.

    edible dried peas.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

The effect of this order is to make the sale of edible dried beans and dried peas subject to the payment of a levy under the Vegetables Levy Act 1957.


Issued under the authority of the Regulations Act 1936.
