State Services Conditions of Employment Act Commencement Order 1979: revoked, on 1 April 1988, pursuant to section 88(1) of the State Sector Act 1988 (1988 No 20).
This order is administered in the State Services Commission.
PURSUANT to section 1(3) of the State Services Conditions of Employment Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
2 Commencement of Part 8 in respect of employees of the Public Service
This order may be cited as the State Services Conditions of Employment Act Commencement Order 1979.
Part 8 of the State Services: Conditions of Employment Act 1977, to the extent that it applies to acts or omissions of employees, shall come into force on the 23rd day of June 1979 in respect of acts and omissions of employees of the Public Service (as defined in section 2 of the State Services Act 1962).

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
Part 8 of the State Services Conditions of Employment Act 1977 (which is based on Part 9 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973) relates to unjustified industrial action. That Part does not at present apply in respect of the acts or omissions of employees of any of the State services. This order brings that Part into force on 23 June 1979 in respect of acts and omissions of employees of the Public Service.
