PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Toxic Substances Act 1979, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title
  • This order may be cited as the Toxic Substances Act Commencement Order 1979.

2 Commencement of Part 2
  • Part 2 of the Toxic Substances Act 1979 (comprising sections 11 to 18, and relating to the Toxic Substances Board) shall come into force on the 1st day of January 1980.
