Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

Section 2(3) of the Wheat Board Amendment Act 1986 provides that section 2(2) of that Act (which subsection substitutes a new definition of milling standard wheat for the purposes of the Wheat Board Act 1965) is to come into force on the date certified by the Governor-General by Order in Council as the date specified in the first resolution passed by the New Zealand Wheat Board pursuant to section 28A(1) of the Wheat Board Act 1965 as the date on which that resolution is to take effect. (The purpose of the resolution is to define a minimum quality standard for wheat.) The Wheat Board having passed such a resolution, this order accordingly certifies 14 August 1986 as the date specified in that resolution as the date on which it is to take effect, and that date is accordingly the date on which section 2(2) of the Wheat Board Amendment Act 1986 is to come into force.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.

Date of notification in Gazette: 14 August 1986.
