Regulation by clause

8 Set netting prohibited near Mahia Peninsula and Portland Island
  • No commercial fisher shall use a set net in the following waters:

    • (a) Mahia Peninsula: all those waters lying within 2 nautical miles from a line commencing at Boat Harbour (at 39°0.7′S and 177°53.5′E) and proceeding along the mean high-water mark around Mahia Peninsula to the mouth of the Nuhaka River (at 39°03.5′S and 177°45′E):

    • (b) Portland Island: all those waters lying within 2 nautical miles from the mean high-water mark of the shore of Portland Island.
