7C Handgathering of dredge oysters
  • (1) Despite regulations 19 and 23 of the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986, any person may take dredge oysters from the waters of the South-East (Coast) fishery management area (excluding the waters surrounding the Chatham Islands) at any time by the method of handgathering, without limit as to size or season, and may possess any dredge oysters so taken.

    (2) In this regulation, dredge oyster means a shellfish of the species Tiostrea chilensis.
