Penal Institutions Notice 1989: revoked, on 14 November 1996, by clause 3 of the Penal Institutions (Hawkes Bay Regional Prison) Notice 1996 (SR 1996/331).
This notice is administered in the Department of Justice.
Pursuant to section 4 of the Penal Institutions Act 1954, the Minister of Justice hereby gives the following notice.
1 Title and commencement
2 Mangaroa Prison, Hawkes Bay
(1) This notice may be cited as the Penal Institutions Notice 1989.
(2) This notice shall take effect from the 1st day of October 1989.
The land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a prison, to be known as the Mangaroa Prison, Hawkes Bay.
Clause 4 of the Penal Institutions Notice 1986 (SR 1986/203) and Schedule 3 to that notice, are hereby consequentially revoked.
All those pieces of land in the Hawkes Bay Land District, containing 26.6792 hectares, more or less, situated in Block II, Te Mata Survey District, being—
(a) Part Lot 44 on Deposited Plan 1815, containing 25.6190 hectares, more or less; and
(b) Part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 12677, containing 3553 square metres, more or less; and
(c) Part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 12677, containing 7049 square metres, more or less,—
as the same are more particularly defined and marked A, B, and C on SO Plan 6778; and as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Admin 13-7-94-1 deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Corrections, Wellington, and thereon edged in red.
The Schedule was amended, as from 1 October 1995, by section 12(2) Department of Justice (Restructuring) Act 1995 (1995, No 39) by substituting the words “Department of Corrections” for the words “Department of Justice”.
