PURSUANT to section 3(4) of the Animals Amendment Act 1980, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title
  • This order may be cited as the Animals Amendment Act Commencement Order 1989.

2 Commencement
  • Section 3 of the Animals Amendment Act 1980 shall come into force on the 15th day of January 1990.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force, on 15 January 1990, section 3 of the Animals Amendment Act 1980, which provides for the control of tuberculosis in deer.
