Pursuant to section 5 of the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

1 Title and commencement

(1)

This order may be cited as the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Institutions Order 1992.

(2)

This order shall come into force on 11 December 1992.

2 Institution certified

Wakari Hospital, Dunedin, is hereby certified as an institution under the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966.

3 Revocation of certification of Cherry Farm Hospital

(1)

The certification of Cherry Farm Hospital, Waikouaiti, as an institution under the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966 is hereby revoked as from the close of 10 December 1992.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 11 December 1992,—

(a)

effects the certification under the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966 of Wakari Hospital; and

(b)

revokes, as from the close of 10 December 1992, the certification under the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966 of Cherry Farm Hospital, Waikouaiti.

The revocation of the certification of Cherry Farm Hospital is consequential on its closure on 30 November 1992 and the transfer of the alcoholism and drug treatment services provided by it to Wakari Hospital.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
