This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 October 1996, revokes the Petrol Dispensing Regulations 1990.
Those are the regulations that require small nozzle sizes for the dispensing of unleaded petrol and large nozzle sizes for the dispensing of leaded petrol. Those regulations will be redundant when all petrol sold in New Zealand is unleaded.
The last day on which leaded petrol may lawfully be sold in New Zealand is, under the Petroleum Products Specifications Regulations 1995 (SR 1995/270), 30 September 1996.
