Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Institutions Order 1996: revoked, on 21 February 2018, by section 122(2) of the Substance Addiction (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 2017 (2017 No 4).

This order is administered by the Ministry of Health.

Pursuant to section 5 of the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

1 Title and commencement

(1)

This order may be cited as the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Institutions Order 1996.

(2)

This order shall come into force on 1 November 1996.

2 The Bridge, Wellington

(1)

The Schedule of the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Institutions Order 1972 (SR 1972/107) is hereby amended by omitting items 5 and 6, and substituting the following items:

5. 41 Wellington Road, Kilbirnie, WellingtonAll that land containing thirty and one tenth perches, more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being part of Section 4 of the Evans Bay District and being Lot 4 on Deposited Plan No 6245, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, No 301/98 (Wellington Registry).
6. 68 Duncan Terrace, Kilbirnie, WellingtonAll that land containing sixteen perches, more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being part of Section 5 of the Evans Bay District and being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No 2161, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, No 209/165 (Wellington Registry).
7. 67 Herald Street, Berhampore, WellingtonAll that land containing fifteen and fifty one one-hundredths perches, more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being part of Section 1063 on the public map of the Town of Wellington, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, No 403/115 (Wellington Registry).

Clause 3 of the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Institutions Order 1986 (SR 1986/122) is hereby consequentially repealed.

3 The Bridge, Christchurch

Schedule 2 of the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Institutions Order 1978 (SR 1978/106) is hereby amended by omitting item 3.

4 Revocation of certification of The Totara Trust, Masterton

(1)

The certification of The Totara Trust, Masterton, as an institution under the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966 is hereby revoked as from the close of 31 October 1996.

The Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Institutions Order 1982 (SR 1982/41) is hereby consequentially revoked.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 November 1996, changes the properties that make up the institutions known as The Bridge, Wellington, and The Bridge, Christchurch, which are certified under the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966.

The order also revokes the certification under the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Act 1966 of The Totara Trust, Masterton, which has ceased to exist.
