Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 1998, provide that Part 3 of the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1992 applies to the United States of America. This means that requests may be made by the United States of America to New Zealand for assistance under that Part of that Act.
