Explanatory note

This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These rules, which come into force on 2 September 1998, amend the Disputes Tribunals Amendment Rules 1998 (SR 1998/224). The effect of the amendment is to defer (from 4 September until 1 November 1998) the introduction of a new set of fees for a claim lodged with a Disputes Tribunal. Before 1 November 1998, the fees prescribed for that purpose are set out in rule 5(1) of the Disputes Tribunals Rules 1989 (as amended by the Disputes Tribunals Amendment Rules 1997 (SR 1997/323)).

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
