This order is administered in the Ministry of Transport.
PURSUANT to section 1(3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order
This order may be cited as the Land Transport (Commencement of Repeals) Order 1999.
Clause 9 of part 4 of Schedule 2 of the Land Transport Act 1998 comes into force on 1 March 1999.

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order fixes 1 March 1999 for the repeal of sections 79, 79A, and 79B of Transport Act 1962 (which relate to certificates of fitness and certificates of loading).
On that day, rules relating to those matters made under the Land Transport Act 1998 will come into force.
Date of notification in Gazette: 4 February 1999.
