Traffic Amendment Regulations (No 4) 1999


Note

These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Transport.


PURSUANT to sections 167 and 218 of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title and commencement
  • (1) These regulations may be cited as the Traffic Amendment Regulations (No 4) 1999, and are part of the Traffic Regulations 19761 (the principal regulations).

    (2) These regulations come into force on 25 October 1999.

2 Revocations
  • The principal regulations are amended by revoking—

    • (a) Regulation 73(1) (which relates to windscreens and other glazing):

    • (b) Regulation 73(2) (which relates to windscreens and other glazing):

    (2) Regulation 74 (which relates to rear-vision mirrors).

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 25 October 1999, revoke regulations 73(1), 73(2), and 74 of the Traffic Regulations 1976. The revocations are a consequence of the making of the Land Transport Rule: Glazing, Windscreen Wipe and Wash, and Mirrors 1999, which comes into force on 25 October 1999.
