Fisheries (Southern Scallop Season Variation) Notice 2001

Pursuant to section 312(3)(b) of the Fisheries Act 1996 and to an instrument of delegation signed by the Minister for Food, Fibre, Biosecurity and Border Control on 3 September 1999, the chief executive of the Ministry of Fisheries gives the following notice.

1 Title

  • This notice is the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Season Variation) Notice 2001.

2 Commencement

  • This notice comes into force on 14 February 2001.

3 Extension of southern scallop season for 2000/01 year

  • The southern scallop season for the 2000/01 year is varied by extending the date of its ending to 31 March 2001.

4 Consequential amendment

  • The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Season) Notice 2000 (SR 2000/140) is amended by omitting from clause 3(a) the expression “14 February 2001”, and substituting the expression “31 March 2001”.

This notice, which comes into force on 14 February 2001, extends the ending date of the 2000/01 scallop season from 14 February 2001 to 31 March 2001.
