Sports Drug (Urine Testing) Amendment Regulations 2001

  • These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

Pursuant to section 31 of the New Zealand Sports Drug Agency Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
  • (1) These regulations are the Sports Drug (Urine Testing) Amendment Regulations 2001.

    (2) In these regulations, the Sports Drug (Urine Testing) Regulations 19941 are called the principal regulations.

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 12 April 2001.

3 Forms
  • Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended by revoking subclause (4), and substituting the following subclause:

    • (4) Strict compliance with prescribed forms is not necessary and compliance as the particular circumstances of the case allows is sufficient.

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

4 Representatives and interpreters
  • Regulation 8(1)(a)(i) and (2)(a) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression section 15(2)(c), and substituting in each case the expression section 16A(c).

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

5 Functions of representatives nominated under regulation 8
  • Regulation 9(1) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression section 15(2)(c) or section 15(2)(f), and substituting the expression section 16A(c) or section 16A(f).

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

6 Testing A bottle sample
  • Regulation 34(1)(e) and (2)(h) of the principal regulations is amended by adding the words or the World Anti-Doping Agency.

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

7 Testing B bottle sample
  • Regulation 37(2)(c) and (3)(f) of the principal regulations is amended by adding the words or the World Anti-Doping Agency.

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

8 Determination by Board in regard to testing of sample
  • (1) Regulation 41(1) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the words determination under section 16(4), and substituting the words positive determination under section 16B.

    (2) Regulation 41(2) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression section 16(5), and substituting the expression section 16F(2).

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

9 Particulars to be entered on register
  • Regulation 42(2) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the words determination under section 16(4), and substituting the words positive determination under section 16B.

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

10 Schedule of forms amended
  • The Schedule of the principal regulations is amended in the manner set out in the Schedule.

    These Regulations were revoked, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 60 Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006 (2006 No 58).

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 12 April 2001, make consequential amendments to the Sports Drug (Urine Testing) Regulations 1994 as a result of technical amendments to the New Zealand Sports Drug Agency Act 1994 under the New Zealand Sports Drug Agency Amendment Act 2000.
