(SR 2001/56)

  • Immigration Amendment Regulations 2001: revoked, at 2 am on 29 November 2010, pursuant to section 405(b) of the Immigration Act 2009 (2009 No 51).

Note

Changes authorised by section 17C of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989 have been made in this eprint.

A general outline of these changes is set out in the notes at the end of this eprint, together with other explanatory material about this eprint.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Labour.

Pursuant to section 150 of the Immigration Act 1987, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
  • (1) These regulations are the Immigration Amendment Regulations 2001.

    (2) In these regulations, the Immigration Regulations 19991 are called the principal regulations.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 6 April 2001.

3 Fees
  • Part 1 of schedule3 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting in column a of item 3(f) the expression 90.

Marie Shroff,

Clerk of the Executive Council.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 6 April 2001, amend the Immigration Regulations 1999 to provide a $90 fee where applications are lodged in New Zealand for temporary permits (and multiple entry visas) under the working holiday scheme. This reflects the change in policy that now allows such applications to be lodged at any office of the New Zealand Immigration Service, rather than requiring them to be lodged in the applicant's home country.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.

Date of notification in Gazette: 5 April 2001.
