Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which takes effect from 8 November 2001, is made under the Penal Institutions Act 1954. It declares the land described in the Schedule to be a Police jail, to be known as Don Street (Invercargill) Police Jail. The land is at Don Street, Invercargill. It is used for the purposes of, and has on it 1 or more buildings known as, the Invercargill Police Station.
This notice revokes and replaces parts of a previous notice that declared the Invercargill Police Station to be a Police jail.
