Companies (Fees) Order 2001

Present:
Her Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 470 of the Companies Act 1955, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Companies (Fees) Order 2001.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 1 January 2002.

3 Fees
  • Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Companies Act 1955 is amended by omitting from the item relating to registration of an instrument creating or evidencing a charge under Part 4 of the Companies Act 1955 the expression 50, and substituting the expression 5.

4 Revocation
  • The Companies (Fees) Order 1999 (SR 1999/150) is revoked.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 January 2002, reduces from $50 to $5 the fee payable for registration of a charge under Part 4 of the Companies Act 1955.

The Companies (Fees) Order 1999 is consequentially revoked.
