General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Amendment Regulations 2003

These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Transport.


Pursuant to section 12(2) of the Local Government Amendment Act (No 2) 1999, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
  • (1) These regulations are the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Amendment Regulations 2003.

    (2) In these regulations, the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Regulations 19681 are called the principal regulations.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 21 March 2003.

3 Revocations
  • The principal regulations are amended by revoking regulations 11, 21, 28, 44, 47, 48, 50 to 56, and 64.

4 Savings
  • Despite regulation 3, the regulations revoked by that regulation continue to apply to any proceedings commenced but not completed before the commencement of these regulations.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 21 March 2003, revoke certain provisions of the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968, which have effectively been replaced by new Part 91 of the Maritime Rules (which relates to navigation safety).
