These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.

Pursuant to section 65 of the Chartered Professional Engineers of New Zealand Act 2002, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of Commerce given after consultation with the Chartered Professional Engineers Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Chartered Professional Engineers of New Zealand Levy Regulations 2004.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 16 September 2004.

3 Application

These regulations apply to the financial year ending on 30 June 2005 and subsequent financial years.

4 Levy

The Registration Authority must pay to the Council, in each financial year of the Council, a levy of $70,000 under section 64 of the Chartered Professional Engineers of New Zealand Act 2002.

Regulation 4: amended, on 1 July 2013, by regulation 4 of the Chartered Professional Engineers of New Zealand Levy Amendment Regulations 2013 (SR 2013/50).

5 When levy must be paid

(1)

The Registration Authority must pay that levy on or before 14 July in each year.

(2)

However, the first levy must be paid on or before 30 September 2004.
