Fisheries (Recordkeeping) Amendment Regulations 2004


These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Fisheries.

Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency. the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

  • These regulations come into force on 1 October 2004.

3 Purchase invoices
  • Regulation 13(3) of the principal regulations is amended by revoking paragraph (i), and substituting the following paragraph:

    • (i) in relation to any freshwater eel or green-lipped mussel subject to the quota management system, separate greenweight entries for long-finned freshwater eel, short-finned freshwater eel, green-lipped mussel, and green-lipped mussel spat must be made using the codes specified in Part 2 of Schedule 3 of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 October 2004, amend the Fisheries (Recordkeeping) Regulations 1990 to require purchase invoices to set out separate greenweight entries for green-lipped mussel and green-lipped mussel spat.
