3.8 Hand-held stop signs
  • (1) This clause applies if a person is directing traffic with a hand-held stop sign in accordance with any enactment.

    (2) A driver approaching a hand-held stop sign—

    • (a) must stop before reaching the sign; and

    • (b) must not proceed until the person holding the sign—

      • (i) displays a go sign or a slow sign towards the driver; or

      • (ii) stops displaying a sign towards the driver.
