Pursuant to section 699A of the Local Government Act 1974, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 February 2005.

3 Schedule 1 amended
  • Schedule 1 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after the item relating to clause 3.9.1, the following item:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 February 2005, amend the Local Government (Infringement Fees for Offences: Auckland Regional Council Navigation and Safety Bylaws) Regulations 2002 by adding an offence, and its associated infringement fee, to Schedule 1. The effect of the amendment is to provide for an infringement fee of $200 for the offence of failing to comply with an officer of the council with respect to navigation and safety matters.
