This order is administered in the Ministry of Transport.
Pursuant to section 1(3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
This order is the Land Transport (Commencement of Repeals) Order 2004.
Clause 1 of Part 4 of Schedule 2 of the Land Transport Act 1998 comes into force on 27 February 2005.

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order fixes 27 February 2005 for the repeal of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 (which relates to speed limits). On that day, rules relating to speed limits made under the Land Transport Act 1998 will come into force.
