These regulations are administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
Pursuant to section 88 of the Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registration Act 1995, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
(1) These regulations are the Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registration (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2005.
(2) In these regulations, the Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registration (Fees) Regulations 19951 are called “the principal regulations”
.
These regulations come into force on 26 April 2005.
(1) The Schedule of the principal regulations is amended by adding to the second column of item 12 the words “or civil union”

(2) The Schedule of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after item 24, the following item:

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 26 April 2005, amend the Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registration (Fees) Regulations 1995.
A fee of $45, inclusive of goods and services tax, is set for registering a change of name in relation to a civil union under the Births, Deaths, and Marriages Registration Act 1995.
Fees are also set for obtaining copies of information recorded in respect of civil unions under the Act.
