Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Amendment Regulations 2006

  • Preamble

    At Wellington this 13th day of February 2006

Pursuant to section 324 of the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for ACC given in accordance with section 324(2) of that Act, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 April 2006.

3 GST included
  • All amounts specified in these regulations are inclusive of goods and services tax.

4 Counsellors' costs
  • (1) Regulation 9(2)(a) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $97.55, and substituting the expression $99.99.

    (2) Regulation 9(2)(b) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $76.50, and substituting the expression $78.41.

5 Medical practitioners' costs
  • (1) Regulation 13(2)(a)(i) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $35.00, and substituting the expression $35.88.

    (2) Regulation 13(2)(a)(ii) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $32.00, and substituting the expression $32.80.

6 Nurses' costs
  • Regulation 14(2)(a) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $15.00, and substituting the expression $15.38.

7 Medical practitioners' and nurses' costs for combined treatment
  • (1) Regulation 15(2)(a)(i) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $38.00, and substituting the expression $38.95.

    (2) Regulation 15(2)(a)(ii) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $35.00, and substituting the expression $35.88.

8 Specialists' costs
  • (1) Regulation 16(2)(a)(i) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $97.55, and substituting the expression $99.99.

    (2) Regulation 16(2)(a)(ii) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $76.50, and substituting the expression $78.41.

    (3) Regulation 16(3)(a) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $38.25, and substituting the expression $39.21.

9 Specified treatment providers' costs
  • Regulation 17(3)(a) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the expression $47.80, and substituting the expression $49.00.

10 Schedule amended
  • Each item of the Schedule of the principal regulations listed in the first column of the Schedule of these regulations is amended by—

    • (a) omitting the expression set out opposite to it in the second column; and

    • (b) substituting the expression set out opposite to it in the third column.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 April 2006, amend the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003 by increasing the amounts payable by the Accident Compensation Corporation for the costs of certain ACC treatments.
