  • Preamble

    At Wellington this 12th day of June 2006

Pursuant to section 150 of the Immigration Act 1987, Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Immigration Amendment Regulations 2006.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 24 July 2006.

4 Schedule 3 amended
  • (1) Part 1 of Schedule 3 is amended by omitting item 3(h)(iii) and substituting the following item:

    (2) Part 1 of Schedule 3 is amended by omitting paragraphs (b) and (c) of item 4 and substituting the following paragraphs:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations amend Part 1 of Schedule 3 of the Immigration Regulations 1999, which sets out the fees payable for applications and other matters specified in that Part.

Two sets of fees for certain visitor and limited purpose permits and visas are reduced from $85 to $80, while the fee for applications made in New Zealand for further limited purpose permits for study purposes is increased from $70 to $120. The fee charges take effect on 24 July 2006.
