This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 September 2006, imposes a levy on all arable crops (except maize, which is levied under a separate order) grown in New Zealand for sale or to be used within the grower's farming operation. It revokes and replaces the Commodity Levies (Arable Crops) Order 2000, which expired on 23 July 2006.
The levy is payable to the Foundation for Arable Research Incorporated.
Unless earlier revoked, the order expires 6 years after it is made by virtue of section 13 of the Commodity Levies Act 1990.
