Pursuant to section 2(2) of the Judicature Amendment Act 2006, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

2 Commencement of section 7 of Judicature Amendment Act 2006

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force, on 1 September 2006, section 7 of the Judicature Amendment Act 2006.

This section inserts section 26IB in the Judicature Act 1908. Section 26IB provides for a Judge or Associate Judge to preside at the hearing of certain matters by video link.
