Pursuant to sections 201 and 423 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

These regulations are the Maritime Transport (Infringement Fees for Offences Relating to Major Maritime Events) Amendment Regulations 2006.
These regulations come into force on 10 October 2006.
These regulations amend the Maritime Transport (Infringement Fees for Offences Relating to Major Maritime Events) Regulations 1999.
Regulation 4 is amended by inserting “under section 423 of the Act” after “Every infringement notice”.

The infringement notice in the Schedule is amended—
(a) by omitting “Name:” and substituting “Full name:” ; and
(b) by omitting “Address:” and substituting “Full address:”.

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations clarify name and address requirements in the infringement notice prescribed by, and correct a drafting error in, the Maritime Transport (Infringement Fees for Offences Relating to Major Maritime Events) Regulations 1999.
