Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 8 November 2006, declares Chile to be a specified TPA party.
Chile is a party to the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (the Agreement). Following Chile’s recent ratification, the Agreement comes into force for Chile on 8 November 2006.
The effect of the order is to entitle Chile to preferential tariffs set under the Tariff Act 1988 in accordance with the Agreement.
