Legal Services Amendment Regulations 2006

  • Preamble

    At Wellington this 27th day of November 2006

Pursuant to section 113 of the Legal Services Act 2000, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title

  • These regulations are the Legal Services Amendment Regulations 2006

2 Commencement

  • These regulations come into force on 1 March 2007.

3 Principal regulations amended
4 New Schedule 2 substituted

  • Schedule 2 is revoked and the Schedule 2 set out in the Schedule of these regulations is substituted.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 March 2007, amend the Legal Services Regulations 2006, which also come into force on 1 March 2007.

These regulations replace Schedule 2 of the Legal Services Regulations 2006. The effect of the amendment is to increase the income thresholds used in calculating the repayment payable by a person who has been granted legal aid.
