Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Amendment Regulations 2007

  • Preamble

    At Wellington this 23rd day of January 2007

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Amendment Regulations 2007.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 March 2007.

3 Principal regulations amended
4 Schedule 1 amended
  • (1) Schedule 1 is amended by inserting the heading and items set out in Part 1 of the Schedule above the heading Interior Impact 2001 (32002/1):.

    (2) Schedule 1 is amended by inserting the item set out in Part 2 of the Schedule after item 13.4 under the heading Traffic Control Devices 2004 (54002):.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 March 2007, amend the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999. The amendments set out the penalties for certain offences under the Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2006 (32015) and a new offence under the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 (54002).
