Registered Architects Amendment Rules 2007


These rules are administered by the Department of Building and Housing.

Pursuant to section 67 of the Registered Architects Act 2005, the New Zealand Registered Architects' Board makes the following rules.

1 Title
  • These rules are the Registered Architects Amendment Rules 2007.

2 Commencement
  • These rules come into force on 1 June 2007.

3 Principal rules amended
4 Schedule 2 amended
  • (1) Schedule 2 is amended by omitting 393.75 and substituting 2,036.25.

    (2) Schedule 2 is amended by omitting 247.50 and substituting 1,417.50.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These rules, which come into force on 1 June 2007, amend the Registered Architects Rules 2006 to increase the charge for initial registration as a registered architect.

The charge for an application for registration is increased from $393.75 to $2,036.25. The rebate that applies if no interactive assessment is required is increased from $247.50 to $1,417.50.
