Pursuant to section 98 of the Fisheries Act 1996 and the Fisheries (Transfer of Functions, Duties, and Powers to The New Zealand Seafood Industry Council Limited) Order 2006, The New Zealand Seafood Industry Council Limited gives the following notice.

Notice

1 Title
  • This notice is the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Registers) Notice 2007.

2 Commencement
  • This notice comes into force on 24 August 2007.

3 Meaning of registers
  • In this notice, the registers means the Fishing Vessel Permit Register, the Permit Register, and the High Seas Permit Register.

4 Location of registers
  • The registers must be located at the offices of Commercial Fisheries Services Limited situated at Level 6, Eagle Technology House, 135 Victoria Street, Wellington.

5 Hours of inspection
  • The registers must be open for inspection by the public from 8 am until 5 pm on any day except—

    • (a) Friday 24 August 2007; and

    • (b) a Saturday, a Sunday, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, the Sovereign's birthday, and Labour Day; and

    • (c) a public holiday observed in Wellington; and

    • (d) a day in the period beginning on 25 December in a year and ending on 2 January in the following year; and

    • (e) if 1 January falls on a Friday, the following Monday; and

    • (f) if 1 January falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the following Monday and Tuesday.

6 Revocation

This notice commences on 24 August 2007. The notice states the place at which the Fishing Vessel Permit Register, the Permit Register, and the High Seas Permit Register must be located, and states the hours when they must be open for inspection by the public.
