Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

The Companies Amendment Act (No 2) 2006 came into force in 2006 with the exception of the provisions listed in section 2(1) of that Act, which were to come into force by Order in Council. The Companies Amendment Act (No 2) 2006 Commencement Order 2007 has already brought all the remaining provisions except section 16(3) into force. This order now brings the only remaining provision, section 16(3), into force on 29 February 2008.
