Copyright (General Matters) Amendment Regulations 2007

  • Preamble

    At Wellington this 17th day of December 2007

Pursuant to section 234(d) of the Copyright Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Copyright (General Matters) Amendment Regulations 2007.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 17 January 2008.

3 Principal regulations amended
  • These regulations amend the Copyright (General Matters) Regulations 1995.

4 Prescribed bodies for purposes of section 69 of Act
  • Regulation 5 is amended by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (a):

    • (ab) the Correspondence School Te Kura a-Tuhi:.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 17 January 2008, amend the Copyright (General Matters) Regulations 1995 by adding the Correspondence School Te Kura a-Tuhi to the list of bodies prescribed for the purposes of section 69 of the Copyright Act 1994. Prescribed bodies may, without infringing copyright, make copies or adaptations of published literary or dramatic works for the purpose of providing people who have a print disability with copies that are modified for their special needs.
