Note 4 at the end of this reprint provides a list of the amendments incorporated.

This order is administered by the Ministry of Justice.

Pursuant to section 104(2)(a) of the Electoral Act 1993, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 2008.

2 Date for closing of main rolls
  • The main roll for every general electoral district and for every Māori electoral district closes on 20 June 2008.

Martin Bell,
for Clerk of the Executive Council.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

As part of the enrolment inquiry, this order closes, as at 20 June 2008, the main rolls for all electoral districts. This enables the main rolls to be printed and published as at that date. They will then be available to the public for checking.

The making of this order does not preclude—

  • (a) the making of a subsequent order later in 2008 closer to the date of the expiration of the present Parliament; or

  • (b) the printing of a composite roll as at writ day.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.

Date of notification in Gazette: 5 June 2008.
