New Zealand Teachers Council (Making Reports and Complaints) Amendment Rules 2008 (SR 2008/215)

Regulation by clause

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These rules, which come into force on 1 August 2008, amend the New Zealand Teachers Council (Making Reports and Complaints) Rules 2004. The amendment adds a new criterion to the criteria for reporting serious misconduct by providing that a report may be made under rule 9 if an employer suspects on reasonable grounds that a teacher has engaged in any act or omission that brings, or is likely to bring, discredit to the profession.
