Pursuant to section 160(1)(a) of the Telecommunications Act 2001, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Telecommunications Network Operator Orders Revocation Order 2008.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

3 Revocation of telecommunication network operator orders

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, revokes part or all of a number of telecommunications network operator orders. The effect of the revocations is that the following entities cease to be declared network operators for the purposes of the Telecommunications Act 2001:

  • Auckland Independent Television Services Limited:

  • Barryvision Limited:

  • Bay Satellite TV Limited:

  • Defcon Corporation Limited:

  • Globalstar New Zealand Limited:

  • Orbitel Communications Limited:

  • Satnet (NZ) Limited:

  • Superway New Zealand Limited:

  • Taupo Cablevision Inc Limited:

  • The Internet Group Limited.
