Pursuant to section 54 of the Trade in Endangered Species Act 1989, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Trade in Endangered Species Amendment Regulations 2008.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.

3 Principal regulations amended
4 Fees
  • (1) Regulation 6(1) is amended by omitting $40 and substituting $80.

    (2) Regulation 6(2)(a) is amended by omitting $298.75 and substituting $600.

    (3) Regulation 6(2)(b) is amended by omitting $130 and substituting $260.

    (4) Regulation 6(3) is amended by omitting $130 and substituting $260.

    (5) Regulation 6(4) is amended by omitting $208.75 and substituting $420.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, amend the Trade in Endangered Species Regulations 1991 by increasing the fees payable for the issue of certificates and permits under the Trade in Endangered Species Act 1989.
