Pursuant to section 3(3) of the Airport Authorities Act 1966, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Airport Authorities (Eastland Infrastructure Limited) Order 2008.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 1 January 2009.

3 Establishment and maintenance of airport
  • Eastland Infrastructure Limited may exercise the powers conferred on local authorities by section 3 of the Airport Authorities Act 1966 while it remains a lessee of Gisborne Airport.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 January 2009, gives Eastland Infrastructure Limited the powers under section 3 of the Airport Authorities Act 1966 to establish, improve, maintain, operate, or manage airports while it remains a lessee of Gisborne Airport.
