Pursuant to section 2(2) of the Copyright (New Technologies) Amendment Act 2008, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings the Copyright (New Technologies) Amendment Act 2008 into force on 31 October 2008, except for—

  • section 92A, which comes into force on 28 February 2009; and

  • sections 48 and 85, which require amendment and will be brought into force at a later date once amended.
